YPSILANTI, MICHIGAN (03/31/2012) – The Ypsilanti Area Jaycees are once again hosting the annual Easter Egg Scramble and Marshmallow Drop for kids twelve and under, March 31st, 2012 at Frog Island Park, located in Ypsilanti’s Historic Depot Town. The event takes place from 9am – 12pm. With games, prizes, candy and fun for all! Participants will be asked for a one dollar donation, or a can of food to be donated to help feed the less fortunate.
The Ypsilanti Area Jaycees hold this event annually to bring the community together to celebrate and for the kids to have a great time. There will be multiple games for the kids to win great prizes, and the morning culminates in a helicopter dropping thousands of marshmallows for the kids to collect. The chairperson for this event, Kendra Middling says “This should be a great time with the community”
The Ypsilanti Area Jaycees is an organization for young men and women between the ages of 21 to 40 focused on leadership training through community service, personal and professional development, and social and networking opportunities. Our chapter strives to provide the opportunities necessary for our members to create positive change in their personal and professional lives as well as the communities in which they live. Some of the ways our chapter gives back to the community are with our Bountiful Baskets program, fundraising for and in conjunction with other charities and the annual Easter Egg Hunt and Marshmallow Drop.
